I’m Evan Shearer, a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. My work moves between portraits, landscapes, and architecture. The thread that connects it all is light: how it shapes a place, a face, or even a passing moment. I’m especially drawn to the unseen. Infrared, ultraviolet, and full-spectrum photography are central to my practice, allowing me to look beyond what the eye alone can register.
I work across film, digital, and drones, often mixing traditional techniques with experimental ones. Sometimes my images are intimate; sometimes they are distant. No matter the subject, I want them to feel like moments you can step into, quiet, atmospheric, and alive. I hold a BFA in Photography from Sacramento State University, and I’m a certified FAA Part 107 drone pilot. Alongside commissioned work, I publish photo books and continue long-term projects that explore invisible light and its place in how we see the world.
